While cronic cases can i hardly be cared for in their own homes and need hospital facilities, most cannot afford private nursing home care. Many are being cared for in general hospitals at great expense to the counties. The rates in-a home such as is contemplated for this area would be within reach of people of moderate circumstances. Operating costs are estimated as possibly $2.00 to $2.50 a day per patient for participating counties.
A discussion followed Mr. Bruner’s talk and since it was felt that "the project was worth further investigation a committee was . appointed with representatives from the Board of Supervisors, Ministerial Association, Health Department, and Welfare Board. The committee wll represent Rappahannock 'County and will be considered a branch of the District Committee. From, time to time it will present to the county further informa‘ tion about the project
