Mrs. Mary Lea Goff and sons, Gerry, Ronnie, and Kenneth of Sanford, Florida and Mrs. Thomas Reid of Edgewood, Maryland are guests of their mother, Mrs. Edward Cary.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Petty were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lillard of Boston and Mrs. Dora Marshall and son, Terry of High Point, N. C. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scroggins were Miss Catherine Goggleman, Miss Corrie Scroggins, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Woodward of Washington, D. C. and Pvt. Edwin “Tob" Scroggins of Fort Bragg, N.C. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Massie Jr. and son, Tom, were dinner guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Massie Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. George Wallihan of Front Royal had a picnic supper on the Skyline Drive, Sunday.

Dr. John Cadden and daughters, Joan and Mitzie of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Updike were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. A. M. Vemer.

Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller and sons, D. D. Miller Jr. and Newbill ’Miller left Friday for a week-end visit with Mrs. Miller’s family. They were dinner guests Friday evening of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Broaddus of Bowling Green; later in the day they •visited Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Newbill Miller Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Dillard. Saturday, Mrs. Miller, Newbill, John Ashbum Rawls and Mr. Newbill attended the horse shofcr in Keswick where Mrs. Miller’s niece', Miss Frances Christian Newbill of Richmond was among the riders. Mrs. Rawls, Dave Miller and Mrs. Miller spent the day in Richmond.
