Miss Minnie Williams was hostess to the Flint Hill Bridge Club and other guests Friday evening, August 28. High prize was awarded to Mrs. Virginia Miller while Mrs. Claude (Cook captured traveling and Mrs. L. J. Turner’s luck won her “bingo.” "tow prize 'was given to Mrs. B. T. Wood.
Among the guests were Mrs. Gene Wood, Mrs. Mary Lea, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Lock Burford, Mrs. Marvin Bradford Jr., Mrs. David Corbin, Mrs. Edna Moore, Mrs. Galley Smith, Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Thomas Eastham and Mrs. Reba Dabney.
A very enjoyable dessert bridge party was held on Thursday evening at Cab-Inn with Mrs. Z, H. Sealock as hostess. The club members and additional guests invited were Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Robert E. Wood, Miss Louise Q’Bannon and her guest, Miss Samuella Crim, Mrs, Fred W. Schaefer, Mrs. ■T. J. Pillar and house guest, Mrs. O’Keefe of Norfolk, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. Clay Mason, Mrs. R. E. ’‘Thompson, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. Rpy L. Reeve, R. G. Quaintanqe and R. E. Wood. At the conclusion of the game, prizes were awarded as follows: High for club members, Mrs. Schaefer; High for guests, Mrs. Mason; Traveling, Mrs. Branch and Bingo, Mrs. Estes.
