Hunting or rather the “catching” is slack in Rappahannock Countv " with only three deer reported by thg checking stations, spread over the county. The station a<t Payne's Garage, reports a kill of two, one by Clark Jones, a 110 pound, 6 pointer; and a 140 pound, 6 pointer by Jr. • Beahm, Rector’s Store reports a. 106 •pounder with 7 points felled by Lewis Woodard. Reports frofn the checking stations in Amissville and Sperryville state that no kills were turned in.
In a report from the Clerk's office of Rappahannock County, it is found that a total of 230 resident licenses <to hunt and fish were issued; 150 state licenses to hunt only; 58 national forests stamps and 86 big game stamps, were also filed.
