Edward Barrington Lee Jr. of White Post was Mr. Massie’s best man. The ushers were Wade H. Massie III, brother of the groom; and William Gregory Scanlan, of New York.
Mrs. Ribble, mother of the bride, wore a dusty rose lace and chiffon dress with black accessories. Her corsage was an orchid.
Mrs. Massie, mother of the groom, was dressed in blue lace over taffeta, with a corsage of pink roses.
A reception was held after the wedding in the home of Mrs. Eleanor ' Meade Conley; v-rT
Mr. and Mrs. Massie left after the reception for a Southern trip. Upon their return, they will make their home at —“Twin—Oaks”—Meadow Grove Farm.
Mrs. Massie »is a graduate of Handley School, Winchester; Mr. Massie graduated from Washington High School and attended University of Virginia. _
The Meade Memorial Church in which the ceremony was performed, was built on the site of the residence of Oliver Funsten—which was burned before 1870—largely from the brick 6f that residence. Mr. Funsten is the great great great grandfather of the groom, James F. Massie.
