County-wide Heifer Vaccination again successful.
With two more vaccinating days to go at this writing it looks as ii the goal established by the Rappahannock Livestock Committee in having two county wide heifer vaccinations during the year directed at reduction in l-osses as a result of Bangs will be highly successful. During the three days last week and two this week 384 heifers 4-8 months of age were vaccinated by Dr. Wm. L. Wake, local veterinarian practicianer, for sixty-nine farmers. The program was Organized by your county agent however there is little he or the veterinarian can do towards eradicating the disease without farmer cooperation. Cooperation was had. . By the end of the month we hope to have a summary #f heifer Bangs vaccinations for the year and will try to remember to report same to you.
