SPERRYVILLE SCHOOL NEWS ~ There was a meeting of Rappahannock teachers, Friday, November 13, in the Sperryville School. V When school begun, there were 25 five-pointers in the Sperryville Elementary School. Now the fivepointers total 73.
On November 5 an election was conducted in the 6th grade classroom of Mrs. Ann Keyser. Before the election, the children were directed as to how to check on who would be eligible to vote. When each came ■to vote, the clerk checked to see if ’ he were qualified. When Mrs. Keyser ‘ stepped up to cast her vote, she found she had no vote since her name was not on the register. Children need to know more about government. It will make them more appreciative of the freedoms which they enjoy in America.
