0 1 he Rappahannock County 4-H Clubs met Saturday, November 14 at the Court House. Vice President, Lelia Gentry presided. Songs were led by Judy Hawkins and devotion by Peachy Lyne. Roy Heltzel introduced club members to us. Miss Fuss told us the importance of being a leader and introduced adult leaders. Mr. Lyne talked on “The Purpose of the County Council.”
New officers were elected. They ‘ were as follows: President, Betty Rutherford; Vice President, Kelly Updike; Secreatry, Lelia Gentry; Devotional leader, Judy Black; Song leader, Carolyn Turner. These , will be officers of County Council for 4954. Members present were Virgte Wines, Etta Campbell, Joyce Pritchett, Billy Wines, Granville Fox, Roy Leake, Walter B. Kilby, Carolyn Brown Bud Smoot, Peachy Lyne, Linda Lou Dodson, Nancy Brown, Shirley Smoot, Mary Lou Davis, Jackie Rutherford, Judy Hawkins, H. B. Atkins', Judy Black, Carolyn Turner, Elizabeth Latham, Kelly Updike, Betty Rutherford and Lelia Gentry. Our meeting was closed fwith Club Pledge and Motto.

Cross Country Ride
The Rappahannock Hunt branch of the Pony Club will meet for a cross-country ride, Saturday, November 27 at 10:30 at Leeway Farm, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leon T. Greenaway. All who are interested are invited to attend. All those having ponies or horses to ride, bring them* along. The riders will be accompanied by instructors and adults. After the ride, refreshments will be served.
