G. M. Profit* . The Prophet Elijah Is one of the bravest and most dramatic figures of history. Qad in very humble clothes, this moral and spiritual giant confronted King Ahab and re- * 'buked him for Baal worship and leading the people of Israel to do so. He proclaimed the prophecy of more .than 3 years of drouth, with neither rain nor dear a$a judgment of - God , upon Israel for their wickedness and idol worship. After Elijah made his prophecy and pronounced the judgment he disappeared as dramatically as he had appeared.

Elijah was hidden by Jehovah aand miraculously cared for by the ravens* until the brook dried up and he was -then directed to stay with the Widow of Zarepath. Now this widow was blest in many ways by Jehovah for her part in caring for the Prophet. After about 3 years Elijah appeared again in Ahab’s court and charged him to be the cause of the people worshipping Baal. This took a lot of courage; but Elijah knew God was with him in this matter.
