It looks as though broiler prices should be steady to a little weaker for the next two weeks or so.
Eggs set, which have been climbing week by week, dropped off a little last week, but still were 14% above a year ago.

As expected, hog prices advanced about $1 a hundred in Virginia auctions last week, averaging $20.20, the first $20 hogs in some time. , Western markets also increased 50 cents to $1 averaging $20 to $20.25 for the week.
After the jump, hog prices probably will level off this week, but the general trend is slowly up until mid-summer. ,
OATS
Tfyre >* a good feed demand for oats in Virginia this year. It might pay to sell some if you can get it to market soon.
Virginia prices last week averaged 60 to 70 cents, against a loan rate of 72 cents a bushel. Virginia’s crop is about the same as last y<*ar, based on acreage planted, but probably will be less owing to oats cut for hay. The national crop is expected to be about the same as last year.
