Joseph M. Anderson
Graveside services were held Saturday, July 2 at Forest Lawn in Richmond for Joseph Mason Anderson, son of the late Peyton Anderson and Louemma Miller.
Rev. Billops of Grace Street Baptist Church conducted the last rites.
Mr. Anderson $ed Thursday, June 30 at the age of 74, after a 'hnqf *1*nod of declining health which terminated with a broken hip and pneumonia.
A native of Rappahannock, he graduated from William and Mary and was high school principal at Modest Town and Keealetowne.
He entered V. P. I. and graduated as an electrical engineer and worked for General Electric Company before establishing a business of his own' in Richmond.
During the war materials were scarce so he closed his business and accepted a position with the government at the Pentagon, retiring a few years later.
Surviving Mr. Anderson are his wife, Matt Fowlkes Anderson and a son, Peyton of Arlington; a daughter, Lucy, of Wilmington, Deleware; one sister, Mrs. A. C. Latham of Amissville and a brother, Aubrey Anderson in Maxwell, California.
