Mid-Summer Bangs Vaccination Planned For August

The mid-sumnjer Bangs Yacclnation Program of■ heifer calves not under four (4) months of age nor over eight (8) months old will be held early in August. Farmers or any person living in Rappahannock who has a heifer calf this age which will be kept should by all means have the animal Bangs vaccinated. Interested per<ons should notify the county tgent’s office by post card or telephone (Washington 2231) stating the number of head to be vaccinated and location. Under the new Bangs Control Program no charge is made for vaccination however it is necessary to have full cooperation of all persons having heifers they want vaccinated in order to get a vetinarian from outside the county to come do the work.
Rappahannock Farmers who have indicated they will attend the 22nd session of the Institute of Rural Affairs held annually at .VPI are Thomas Williams, “Bee” Miller, D. L. Regan and son, Rodney; also Earl Kilby and William Payne if farm operations shape up favorably. The group will leave Washington at 2 p.tn. ■ next Tuesday, July 26 and return the night of the 28th or early next morning. Others interested please contact the office so transportation can be worked out. It will be well worth your while.
