Elizabeth M. Latham Miss Elizabeth Moreland Latham, 72, a native resident of the Amissville section, died Tuesday, July 12th, aftdr several weeks of declining health. She was the daughter of the late John H. Latham and the late Suda Marian Luttrell of Rappahannock County^ Miss Latham is Survived by one sister, Mrs. R. E. Luttrell of Amissville.
In the absence of the pastor, the services were conducted by the Rev. Koy Peterson of Culpeper Baptist Circuit, from the Amissville Baptist'Church on Thursday afternoon, July 14, with a large assemblage of relatives and friends attending.
The active ’pallberarers were William Bywaters, Everett Stover, Landon Luttrell, A. C. Latham, Sr., Silas O’Bannon, Silas Martin and Lewis Mills. The honorary pallbearers were Dr. J. R. Bold ridge, Roy Mills, Booten Priest, Frank Nelson, Billie Mills, Marvin Hughes. Elliott Doyle. Will Corbin and Will Duncan. The interment was held in the family section of the Amissville Baptist Cemetery. _

The Hume Pioneers defeated the Amissville Athletics for the second straight time this year, as .they won by a 12-1 score at Hume, Sunday. _ Hume’s big third inning in which they scored Seven runs was just about theball game.
