Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Elliott of Washington,- D. C., Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Spellman and sonsj, Vance Lee and Boyd of Alexandria were week-end houseguests of Mrs. Lester Jenkins. On Saturday evening, the Anne Dwyer Girls’ Auxiliary and tht Silas Bruce Royal Ambassador Chapter of the Baptist Church held a picnic at the Hazel Rivet Camp near Boston, being joined by many. members of their families. After supper, games were played and various sports enjoyed by all those present.
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Petty of Richmond were Sunday afternoon visitors of their aunts, the Miller sisters.
On Sunday, Mrs. Robert A. Brown enjoyed calls from Mrs. Wayman Utz and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lillard of Etlan.
Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Boyd presented a program for the regular meeting of the Crooked Run Baptist Church Missionary Society and their guests.
Mrs. Carter White spent last week visiting her brother, J. Albert Schaffer and his wife in Wytheville. Monday morning, she received the sad news that her brother had passed away very suddenly that morning.
