Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary C. Brown, 85, wife of Moncue C. Brown of! Sperryville, " who died at her home; early Monday morning, July 18, following a brief illness.

A native of Rappahannock:, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Frank Henry Millan and the late Sabina Smith Millan. She i$ survived by her husband, and one son, C. Ennis Brc)wn, both of Sperryville. . j j

The graveside services were conducted at the Sperryville Cemetery with the Reverend A. Paul . Thompson officiating. Active pallbearers were George Hawkins, Lester Dodson, Fred Schaefer, Clyde Atkins, Edward Estes, Nelson Nethers, P. Leie Thornton and George W. Brown.
