With 2 men down in the second inning, George (Punk) Pullen jifted a long homer over the left field fence to give the Chiefs their first tally in Sunday’s victory over the Stephens City A. C.
The score stood 1-0 until the seventh inning when 3 errors and 3 hits by Charles Dodson, Pullen and Bobby Menefee scored 3 runs. In the eighth, Pete Clater walked, then Newbi.ll Miller and Edwin Scroggins flied out. Dodson singled advancing Clater to second. Ned Settle singled to bring in Clater for the last run.
