Mr8. Marcus Bruce
Mrs. Inez Heaton Bruce, widow of the late Marcus W. Bruce of Woodville, died at her residence on Wednesday, July 13, following a long period of declining health.
She was 85 years of age and the daughter of the late Ambrose Bftoten Heaton and the late Bettie Johnson Heaton, of Rappahannock.
Mrs. Bruce is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Henry A. Brown of Woodville, Elva and Ivy Bruce at home, and Mrs. Clarence Compton of Reva; three sons, Ruben L. Bruce of Richmond, Marion and Edwin Bruce at home. One .brother, Ralph Heaton of Tacoma, Washington; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church. The services were conducted by her pastor, Elder Russell H. Thompson and assisted by Elder Robert Keyser of Luray, • from the residence on Friday, July 15th. Interment was in the family section of the Sperryville Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Philip Palmer, Jack Compton, Bruce Brown, Robert Bruce, Francis Bruce and Ray Weaver.
