Updikes Honored At
Surprise Shower
The Women's M issionary Society of the Washington Baptist Church and additional friends honored Mr. and Mrs. V. R. TJp-# dike with a surprise miscellaneous shower last Wednesday at their new home on Jett Street.
Among those present were W. C. Campbell, Miss Margaret Compton, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. G. L. Updike, Mrs. James Lillard, Mrs. C. J. Stuart, Mr* A. M. Verner, Mrs. D. C. Updike Mrs. John A. Keyser, Mrs. Frank Wood, Miss Mary Miller Wood, Mrs. Susie Pullen, Mrs. D. B. Burton, Miss Elizabeth Verner, Mrs. Guy Burke and Miss Lottie Burton.
After Mrs. Updike opened the many lovely gifts, refreshments were served.
