The Reverend William Car«gr Barker, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Newnan, Georgia, will be the guest speaker at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperry ville, for the annual revival beginning Wednesday,‘August 3.
The revival services, held each night at 8 o’clock, will continue through Sunday morning, August 14.
The Reverend Mr. Barker has conducted many revivals in this vicinity. In Culpeper, several years ago, the congregation was so large at the meetings, that a loud speaker was put up that the persons on the grounds, without sitting room inside, could hear the messages. He is noted for hie power to hold an audience and drive a point home. Mr.' Barker minces no words in his sincere talks. ■i. ■ "
