Apple Growers Discuss Problems O f Coming Season
Fifteen fruit growers and other interested persons met at the Rappahannock County High School, Friday night to discuss the marketing of the coming apple crop. A movie, “Apples For Health,” made by the nation’s apple growers thru National Apple Institute, showed very emphatically that “eating an apple is almost good as brushing your teeth,” and that “apples are very high in nutrition value.”
Following the movie, a short discussion was held on the matter of advertising apples. Carol Miller, Secretary-Manager of the Appalachian Apple Service, brought out many facts of import, including the comment that whether you like it or not, if you have products you must take them
