Charles Dodson’s triple in the last of the ninth pushed across 2 runs to win a 5-4 victory for tthe Chiefs, Sunday, in a dose contest with Oak Grove-on the Moffett diamond.
The Grovers started off in great form Scoring 3 runs in their frame of the first. H. Dyke and B. Wymer singled and Hockman was safe on. an error. A double 'drfve in Dyke and Wymer and Hockman was out at the plate; Later Williams stole home to make the score 3 to 0.
Rappahannock scored one in the third and another in the fifth. But the Grovers came back in their half of the fifth and made another run to lead 4-2. Though the Chiefs had their foot in the door several times, they were, unable to score again until the ninth.
