Mr. and Mrs. W. C. HaU returned to “Rose Hill on Thursday after spending several days in Charleston, West Virginia, at the Hotel Ruffner. While there they had as their dinner guests at the hotel their grandchildren, Clayburn C. and Beverly Kuhn.
William Mitchell of Leesburg and his daughter Mrs. Benny Fletcher of Arlington were guests Saturday of Mrs. Rose Burton.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Simpson and their two children. Kenneth Jr. and Pollyann were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at “The Oaks”
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marshall of Fairfax. Va. were guests over the week end of Mrs. Marshall’s sister. Mrs. Matilda Walker.
Mrs. Rose Burton is quite ill. Her son. C. M. Nethers of Oldtown, Md. is spending a few days with his sister, Mrs. L. V. Merril to be near his mother, Mrs. Burton.
Leon L. Bailey who. has been spending a few days here with his family at the home of Mrs. Bailey’s parents, Mr, and Mrs. L. V. Merrill returned to Cumberland, Md. where he has a position on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Bailey, who returned the same day.
Mrs. L. V. Merrill and her grandchildren, Steve and Nema Bailey were guests Tuesday of the Misses Frances and Gladys Dulaney of Etlan. Miss Gladys Dulaney leaves in a few days for Florida where she has a teaching positon.
Mr. Henry Gore of Fredericksburg is spending several days here with his sister, Miss Lula Gore. Mr. Gore is starting work on a small stone house near his old home in the Schwartz Hollow. Mr. Charles Sisk will have charge of the stone work.
