WHEREAS, in the sudden, traggic and untimely death of A, C. Latham, Jr., one of our brother firemen in the Amissville Volunteer Fire Company,
And whereas, he took a very active part in the construction Of our firehouse, as well as the maintainance of the equipment, donating much of his time to the Fire Co.,
And whereas, he was always ready at the wail of the siren sail,
And whereas, being a man absolutely devoid of fear, he was one of the most valuable member i of the Fire Co.,
And whereas, his humor, wit, jokes and pleasant smile. made him a favorite with all firemen,
And whereas, we the members of the Amissville Fire Co., jare deeply grieved at the passing of Brother Latham, and the Fire Co. has suffered and irreparable loss and the neighborhood has lost valuable mechanic.
