Country Music Contest

Near Warrenton
The Warrenton, Virginia Jaycees have chosen September 2 and 3rd, Sunday and Monday of Labor Day week, for their Sixth Annual National Championship Country Music Contest to be held at Lake Whip-poor-will which is located about one mile north of Warrenton on U. S. Routes 15, 29 and 211. Due to the tremendous growth of. the contest, th® facilities of the Warrenton florae Show Grounds, which have previously been used, are not longer sufficient to handle the crowds and the natural wooded amphitheater overlooking Lake Whip-poor-will has been chosen. j
In addition to handsome cash prizes, the winners and some of the runners-up of the past contests have landed radio, TV and recording contracts as a result of their participaton in this show. The opportunity to perform before thou•-*-1-- •-*-1It
