splendid support or our local people last year gives me a great deal of confidence in leading this campaign again during 1956.

"I should like to extend a warm welcome to the people of Rappahannock County in uniting with the Front Roval-Warren County Tuberculosis Association. You can be sure that we in Warren Countv are ready to serve and work with you and for you toward the common goal of victory over the dreaded disease of Tuberculosis.

“As our citizens know from past work, the purpose of a Tuberculosis Association is to carry on an effective program to aid in meeting communin' needs necessary for the control of Tuberculosis. These needs are met thru the annual sale of Christmas Seals.

“Tuberculosis is still the nation’s most serious infectious disease. In 1955, Tuberculosis killed 45 people per dav. In Warren County, we have 58 persons with TB, 7 suspected of having the disease, and 99 have- been in direct contact and are being checked. Although a great deal of progress has been made, we still have a big job to do. Tuberculosis is serious and the support of every citizen in this community is needed. The success of the 1956 Christmas Seal Sale Campaign can be made possible only thru the generosity and thoughtfulness of our citizens who purchase and use these seals.
