In cooperation with the County Conservation Service 38 Carver students participated in the Annual Poster Contest in observance of the State’s Conservation Week of our Natural Resources. The'areas of conservation stressed in our vocational agricultural classes are: Soil,, Water Forestry and Wildlife. The posters ere designed to show some means 'of conserving each of these areas.
Winning students for the county were James Graves of Orange County, eighth grade; Melvin Yates of Culpeper County ninth grade; Robert Jackson’ of Culpeper Coun ty tenth grade; and James Nixon of Orange County, eleventh grade. Along with drawing posters the ' Vocational Agricultural Department showed three conservation films that were secured througn the county conservation service to all agriculture students.
