It’s the same story on broilers for this week—no improvement in price likely.
But in thev predictable future, there’s aspark of hope for better prices within the next few weeks. On the basis of lessening supplies between now and the end of the year, things should begin to look up at least a little by the end of November.
We’re at a- peak in Virginia supply right now—17% above last year, and in the U. S. we’re 26% above last year. By December that figure will be down around 19% and bv the et»<&»of the year, close to • 11 % above last year.
So, while we still have a lot of birds to come, the supply is de- , creasing enough that the market will feel it.
Richmond and the Valley were both at 15c last week, the lowest price in 15 years North Carolina and Georgia were 15c; and Delmarva lost 1,4c last week to 15 3/4 -16c.
