The O. R. Johnson NFA' Chapter of the Carver Regional High School was host to the Northern Virginia Federation of New Farmers of America, when its first meeting was held on Tuesday night. The Federation constitutes the NFA Chapters of four high schools. Namely: A. G. Richardson High of Louisa; W. C. Taylor High of Warrenton; JohnsonWilliams High of Berryville; and Carver Regional High. The members present adopted a Program of Work calling for (1) Livestock Judging contest, (2) Forestry judging constes. (3) Tractor driving contest, and (4) The NFA elimination contest of quartette, quiz, public speaking, and talent. All boys were urged to increase their efficiency in farming in order that we might raise our FFA Foudation Award participation.
Using the rotation system of electing officers. W. H. Lewis of Warrenton will serve as advisor for the ensuing year. Officers elected from the O. R. Johnson Chapter were: James Ferris, Secretary and Samuel Lee, Reporter.
