The Rappahannock Chapter of the American Red Cross has no county chairman to head the program, and so far no one has consented to fill this position. As the situation stands, die chapter can not function properly without a leader to assume responsibility and designate definite jobs, the end result is “everybody’s business is nobody's business” or “let George do k.” ■ _ ;
Fortunately, a capable chairman has always been found to head the annual fund drives in March and art present aj jhhirman for the Bloodmobile is in office.
Since no one will assume over all responsibility as president of the chapter, what then, is the solution? Shall we, as many small chapters are doing, consolidate with an adjoining county which has a strong chapter? Is this feasible? -Will interest degenerate even more if it goes out of the county? Have YOU a better solution? If so come to die meeting May 14th and express your views.
