Perhaps we truly are thronging Jesus, and miss completely those healing words: “Thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”
The faith of which Jesus spoke, and the woman knew, is an adventure of the spirit It is the going out of the whole inner life in response to something we believe to be supremely worthwhile. It is-a wagering of fhe life, not a mere nodding of fhh head. It is not discussion it is decision. It is a launching out of the highest hypothesis known: life! One cannot say that he believes in something unless he acts upon it. One cannot say he believes in Christ unless he is prepared to wager all to follow him. That is faith 1 And this is what the woman had. She touches the garment of Jesus, and he feels it. “Thy faith hath made thee whole.”
And as he threw his life open then, so that anyone who had need - might touch him, provided they touch in faith, 90 now his life is openr-Take what you need. Cease thronging him,. Touch him. And he shall feel it. And he shall say again: “Thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace.”
