HOUSE BURNS
At approximately 4:30 Sunday afternoon the Washington and Flint Hill Fire Companies answered a caall to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claybert Smoot. The fire had started in the attic and is believed to have been caused by faulty wiring. The attic and upstaiTS were badly burned. All furnishings were saved. Mr. and Mrs. Smoot' were in Manassas visiting Mrs. Smoot’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leman Owens at the time of the fire. The house was covered by insurance.
