There is a real difference between thronging Jesus and touching him. Those who throng him get little; those who touch him get everything! And so he looks upon die woman: “Daughter,” ho says, “Thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace.”
Never did the thought of die world so throng Jesus as now. There is more interest than ever before. Other ways arc breaking down, and we wistfully turn to him. And yet, perhaps we are more thronging Jesus than touching him. Inspiration? Yes. But not life! Sunday after Sunday the multi tudes go to church and listen. Their thoughts often throng Jesus. Butt how many of the thronging multitudes really touch him? How many touch him so that they’ go away not merely better, but, as the woman who touched his garments, go away well?
