Br Re*. Bn" P. Harrison Washington—A small, specialized school will open in the Nation’s Capital next month. The subject matter will be tax law and economics. The faculty will P*! composed primarily of economists, tax lawyers, and educators in thee fields. The students will be the members of the House Committee on Ways arid Means. As a matter of fact, it will not be a formal educational institution but a seminar planned by the Committee to inform itself on all shades of economic thought with respect to practical and desirable remodeling of our tax structure. The classes will take the form of public hearings, beginning November 16 and continuing through December 18. The invited witnesses, including some of the most prominent economic theoreticians, as well as leading practicioners of tax law and accounting, will offer prepared statements, a^tjrr which they will be available forfouestionimg by members of die Committee. The perpared material later will be published, and should provide a valuable eross-section of current professional thought on tax policies in the United States.
