Kappanannockans nave oenemed. Grocery stores, gas stations, novelty shops, restaurants, carpenters, stone masons, construction contractors, Fanners Co-op, etc, have benefited. Each dollar spent in the county is again spent over and over and over again, making more and more business for some one.
What about the county? What about you ?
You may not be in any one of the businesses mentioned, you may not be one of those living along this four mile streatch. YET YOU HAVE BEEN BENEFITED!
Think of the increased revenue to the county without a penny’s increase in operational cost. With out it you may have had an increase in tax rate.
Think it over.
For example one land owner who purchased a small plot of land which ten years ago was yielding $4.55 in"taxes to rile county today adds to the county treasury ap-, proximately $60.00 per year.
A couple of tracts totaling about three acres in now yielding on a per acre basis, almost five times more than it did a few yean ago.
