Construction of the -new Rappahannock County High School, located on Route 211 between Washington and Sperryville, is running about on schedule, thanks to good weather ajid an adequate supply of steel and other materials and the efficient crew of builders under the direction of the contractor, Baughn and Company of Luray.

The one-story structure of concrete block, brick and steel, fronts Lee Highway for a length of approximately three hundred feet. Well lighted classrooms, divided by a corridor that runs the length of the building, are ten in number, including a science classroom with adequate laboratory facilities,^ a home economics room, a business room and library. In addition there are principals' office, clinic room, and teacher’s lounge, the latter ncluded in the plans by virtu re of a donation in the amount of five thousand dollars.

There are wash rooms, shower rooms and a storage room. The combined auditoriurA-gymnasium has approximately seventy-two by forty-two feet of playing space for athletic contests; with additional space for four hundred and more spectators. A stage measuring forty by twenty-four feet adjoins the auditorium.

Floors in the auditorium and on, stage will be of wood and classroom floors will be of asphalt tile and cement. Heating will be by hot water with coal for fuel. *

For the time being, the vocational agriculture classes will be continued in the shop and classroom building at Washington.

“Cloud Jarm" Sold

Lt. Cot and Mrs. Ralpji ,P. Andrews df Falls Church, have recently' purchased the 304-acre “Cloud Fafm” at Castleton from Lt. Col. and Mrs. James W. Davis.

Col. Andrews, who is a jet pilot with the U.S. Air Force, plans to retire in a few years and move to the farm.

The sale was made by Ray T. Cannon, Realtor, Castleton, Va.
