John Davist Compton

John Davis CBmpton, son of John Ma-rion and Elizabeth Weakley Compton of Castleton, was killed in an automobile accident near Buckland early Friday morning, January 8. He was 19 years old.

A funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, January 10 from the Geest Funeral Chapel in Culpeper, with interment following in i Eairview Cemetery. The family pastor, Rev. John Hodge, conducted the last rites.

Pallbearers were Brown Compton, Jack Compton, Albert Compton,' Judd Weakley, Marshall® Weakfey, and Billy Weakley.

Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers, James Edward, Harold Richard, Jack Marion and Ray Thomas all of Castleton; four sisters, Frances J., Dorothy May, Ruby Lee and Betty Ann Compton all of Castleton; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Polly Jane Compton"of Laurel Mills and Mrs. Bertha Weakley of Viewtown.
