Irene Keyser has the sweetest little cocker speniel which she has named Rufus. Lucy and Burma Bowie gave it to her.
Speaking of dogs, Sarah says she has a stray one at her house. It is just a puppy, white with black spots. If it belongs to any of you readers, please claim it before a car runs over it on the highway.
Honestly.....:! do not know a bit of news, or at least not any that Sarah wouldn’t cut, if I did write it. I did see Dump Massie, Jim, Jim, Jr. and Bev in Culpeper this morning and every time I turned around I bumped into George Wood. I also sa^ Mrs. Stanton Weaver.
Sarah went to Richmond Friday jto a Virginia Press meeting. Said she had a real good time.
Frank Spalding was right sick last week but he is doing just fine now. Bobby is eager to know when Frank and Bert are coming over to visit him in France. He has saved up lots of leave so he can show them Paris at its best.
Isn’t the new school going to be lovely? We were so happy to get a picture of it. Thanks to Mrs. Keating and Mr. Winfrey.
