Carter Pleads Guilty
To Felony
In the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County on January 18, with Judge R. V. Snead presiding, Hugh Carter of Amissville, who had been indicted for a felony, unlawful, felonious and malicious shooting, withdrew a former plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the indictment thereby waiving a trial by jury. The court did not pass sentence on the accused at that time but referred the case to the Probation Officer for a pre-sentence report. He was released on present bond.
