Surface Soil
The surface soil you fanners work with weighs 2,000,000 pounds per acre. Remember this when you send in a half pint of soil to test from a field. The test is accurate, but can’t give you any better picture than the care you take in getting soil sample. Soil sampling is a job each farmer should do for himself.._..someone else just can’t care as much as the owner who holds the purse strings.

The Pantherettes ■ defeated the Madison girls by only one point, though they started out at a run-, away pace with a score of 29 to 12 s at the half. When the second tekm of Rappahannock took over the Madison players closed the gap in the score and at the close of the game the score was 42 to 41 in favor of Rappahannock. Jean Li Hard was high scorer with 17 points to her credit.
