Has Been Added

Owing to the diminishing number and increasing age of the Work horse population, a new type of race is carded to take the place of the always popular Farm Horse contest. The first event, the newly introduced Hunters’ Gap Race, open to adults and juniors on any type of mount, promises comedy and perhaps hilarity. A mule isas likely a bet to win as a thoroughbred. The jumpless 1%-milr course, to be announced at the start of the race, consists of four gap9 through which riders must pass. At one of these gaps the rider must grab from a container a chit or ticket to pfove he has stopped at that station. First rider to cross the finish line and have a chit is the winner.

Four races are scheduled for juniors under 18 years of age: three to be run on the flafover approximately mile; one on a 2-. mile course over jumps.
