Meeting

Forty members of the Rappahannock County Chapter, Future * Fanners of America attended the Northern Triangle Federation meeting held at James Wood High Shcool Monday night, February 8.

There was .. a regular business session at which time final arrangements were made for the following activities: Shop Judging Contest, Tractor Driving Contest, Public Speaking and Degree Team, Basketball Schedule and the final Spring Meeting.

After the close of the regular business meeting there was a period of entertainment for all visitrpg members. There were contests including calculating board feet in a plank; guessing'the weight of a bag of iron washers and guessing the number of grains of corn in a jar. Two of these contests were won by Rappahannock boys, Ennis Norman and Granville Fox.

The highlight of the entertainment was the Amatuer Contest, fin this there was some very keen,, competition. Here again, the Rappahannock boys came through the winners. F,r a n k 1 i n Woodward, Dickie Brady, Charles Smith and Richard Jenkins took top honors with their instrumental and vocal presentation of country music. “Runnin Bear”, as sung by Richard Jenkins, drew a particularly large ovation from the three-hundred F.F.A. members presents
