Leap Year Birthdays
We have finally found three Leap Year babies in Rappahannock County. Miss Mary' Sue Atkins, 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh S. Atkins of Sperry - ville, was born February 29, 1944 and celebrated her 4th, as well as her *16th birthday on Monday. Mary Sue is a ninth grade student at Rappahannock County High School and will receive a free years subscription to the Rappahannock Neu's for being the first Leap Year baby to make her identity known.
Also born on Leap Year is Mrs. Wade Settle of Washington, Va. Haven’t found out her age yet!
Lillard Jackson was reported a Leap Year baby by his grandmother at Sperryville.
