Treat Sheep For y

Worm

All adult sheep should be treated for worms before turning them on spring pasture. Phenathiazine or phenathiazine containing lead arsenate should be used.

It will be too late if you wait until shearing time to give the treatment. One wormy sheep will drop enough worm eggs to infest a large flock of sheep this summer.

Estimates show that internal parasites rob sheep producers of one fourth of their sheep returns.® Don’t share your profits with worms.

Plan to shear your sheep before the weather gets too hot, corn planting rime is about the ideal shearing time. A week or ten days after shearing is a good time to spray for ticks and lice. Sheep that are c, rayed or dipped each year usually have few or no ticks and in manv cases shear more wool. DDT, HHC or Lindane can be used. Do not useTHC or Lindane on very young lambs.
