Also injurfed was Johnnie Hood Gilbert, 21, of Culpeper who suffered severe head injuries'. Both boys were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by the Flint Hill Rescue Squad. Gilbert was later transferred to a Washington hospital.
The car, a 1956 Ford Station wagon, owned by Mrs. Maude Jolliffee less than a month, was a total loss..
The boys were thrown from the vehicle down a 25 foot embankment and both sustained severe head injuries.
Trooper John L. Lowman, who investigated the accident said that the cause of the collision had not yet been determined.
