As in the past, wheat supports will be accomplished through loans on wheat stored on the farm or in approved warehouses and through purchase agreements. Loans will be available from harvest time through January 31, 1961 and will mature February 28, 1961.
In 1959 ASC made loans on 26,941 bushels of farm-stored wheat all of which was redeemed. Loans were made on 538,829 bushels of warehouse-stored wheat of which 23 percent was redeemed and 411,127 bushels taken over by the Commodity Credit Corporation.
