Mr. and Mrs. Veon Pound who have a lot in the Greeley subdivision at Chester Gap and are living temporarily in San Francisco, Calif., have sent announcements tp their friends here of the birth of a son. Mr. and Mrs. Pound plan on returning here as some future time.

Mrs. William H. Lyne entertained the bridge club Friday evening at her home in Sperryville with the following guests playing: Mrs. F. V. Goddard, Mrs. R. G. Quaintaince, Jr., Mrs. I. O. Wolf, Mrs. Allen Stokes, Mrs. R. E. Wood, jMrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Qrroll Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. Joseph Pauze, Miss Belle Strother and Mrs. Roy Reeve.
After prizes were awarded Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Menefee, a salad course was served.
Ez Tike says fishing through ice is his favorite sport. His fishing though is for olives.
