Large Attendance At Bible
School At Chester Gap
Vacation Bilble School which was held last week at the Baptist Mission at Chester Gap under the leadership of Miss Shirley Robinson, instructor from Richmond, had an average daily attendence of 55 to 60. The program featured Bible classes and hand crafts and refreshments were served each day. Miss Robinson was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock during her stay in Rappahannock.
Funds Sought For
Chilean Relief
Chapters of the American Red Cross everywhere have been accepting money'contributions, in answer to the great distress in Chile, resulting from the series of recent earthquakes. Local members have responded most generously by private donations amounting to $723 plus $100 allotted from chapter funds. Also, throughout the Chapter, people have given 5 cartons of clothing for men, women and children, and five new children’s sweaters, all of which have been delivered to the World Church Service. The Red Cross gratefully acknowledges this splendid response, and it is hoped that anyone who has been intending to give 'money to Chilean Relief, will do so through the Red Cross, by bringing or mailing a contribution to our chapter rooms.
