Dear Folks
We are now paying for all the delightfully cool weather we have been having, so we really can’t fuss about the heat now.
Have just heard the Edwin Easthams have a new daughter, Mary Lindsey, born last week in Front Royal.
The Prices are getting ready for an auction sale July 16 at “The Maples” and believe me this is one sale that things have not been picked over. I believe the ladies of Bromfield Parish will serve lunch, but I am not certain.
Evie and Stew will arrive today in Formosa.. They will call my aunt in Richmond and she is going to call us. Believe you me, this js one time you couldn’t pull me a away from the hill for anything. What a wonderful treat the Carmans are giving us!
The town is truly dead this summer. Most of the old crowd married and away or have jobs and the young married couples at home stay pretty busy.
