A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Parish Hall of the church.Mrs. Litsey received wearing a dress of turquoise lace over taffeta with a taffeta drape at the hip. Her corsage was of red roses and she wore a close-fitting flowered hat. The mother of the bridegroom wore a turquoise jacketed dress with white accessories and a corsage of white orchids.
For her traveling costume, the bride wore a beige and brown linen duster over a beige shirtwaist dress with accessories to match. The couple went o Sedalia, Missouri where they will spend the summer. In the fall they will return to Columbia, Missouri where they will resume studies at the University of Missouri.
Prior to the rehearsal on Thursday evening, Mrs. Edward Toepfer entertained the bridal party and out-of-town guests at a patio supper party at her home.
