Hawkin’s Rites

Mrs. Cornelia Etta Hawkins of Boston!, wife of the late Thomas Hawkins, died Thursday morning, July 21, at her residence. Daughter of the late Joseph Gustavus Weaver and Cornelia Etta Lindsey, his wife, of Rappahannock County', she was 85.

She is survived by two sons, Wallace Weaver Hawkins of Boston and Harold Thomas Hawkins of Alexandria; three grandchildren, Mrs. Carroll T. Deal, William H. Hawkins and Harold T. Hawkins, Jr., all of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Ryle of Griffinsburg and Mre. Lizzie Baily of Boston; one brother, Joseph Wallace Weaver of Boston; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 23, from Geest Funeral Chapel. Rev. Park Dickerson, pastor of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church of which Mrs. Hawkins was a member, conducted the last rites. Interment followed in the family cemetery at the residence.
